4. Home protection: Runners on floors and stairs and padding on door frames before the first piece moves.
5. Furniture wrapped in the room: Pieces are blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped before they leave the room.
6. Placement room by room: Furniture is set where you want it, then the protection comes up.

What a local move in Atlanta costs
PRICING
Every local move has two fees. Moving labor starts at $160 an hour for two movers, plus $50 an hour for each extra mover. The truck fee matches the hourly rate but is charged flat on total drive time. Time is billed in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum.
Crew size and time
Each mover past two adds $50 an hour, and more movers finish faster. The quote matches the crew to your inventory.
How much you are moving
Inventory drives the hours more than square footage. A full garage or attic adds time.
Access at both homes
Stairs, elevators, long walks from the truck and parking rules all change how long a move takes.
Drive time
The truck fee is the hourly rate times total drive time: $160 for 1 hour, $240 for 1.5 hours.
